I forgot my password — how do I reset it?
Enter your email on the sign-in screen, choose Sign in with password, then select Forgot password? — you won't need to retype your email. We'll send a reset link to that address if an account exists, valid for one hour. Open it, set a new password, and confirm it. If the link has expired or was already used, just request a new one. One thing worth knowing: resetting this way does not sign you out of your other devices.
The four screens you'll see
Start from the password step
On the sign-in screen, enter your email and choose to sign in with a password. The link appears once you're on that step — you don't need to remember or retype anything else first.
Check your email
A reset link is sent to the address on file, if an account exists for it. The link is valid for one hour and works only once.
Set a new password
The link opens a reset form. Type your new password twice and confirm — at least 8 characters.
Sign in with your new password
You'll see a confirmation, then a one-click way back to sign-in. Your other signed-in devices stay signed in — see below if that's a concern.
Good to know
- Expired or already-used link. You'll see “This password reset link is invalid or has expired.” — request a new one from the sign-in screen; there's no need to contact support for this.
- Signed in with Google, Microsoft, or a passkey? The reset email still arrives and the form still works. But if your organization requires single sign-on, the new password won't actually let you sign in — use your SSO provider instead.
- Other devices stay signed in. Resetting a forgotten password does not sign out your other sessions. If you suspect someone else has access to your account, also open Settings → Account & security → Sessions and sign out everywhere.
- Too many attempts. You can request up to five reset emails per hour. After that, wait for the window to reset before asking for another.
Still locked out, or the reset email never arrives? Get in touch and we'll sort it out.
